    Description

    Offered for sale is a Voltmeter from The Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation. The instrument is about 120 years old and is made out of solid copper. They have hand-painted scales and can be it-up from the back by way of a standard light bulb. Despite their age, the instruments are new, meaning they had never been used. They were display pieces at the reception of Weston’s New Jersey plant. When the plant was dismantled around 1985, it belonged to Schlumberger Ltd, where the seller then worked as an inhouse lawyer. With Schlumberger’s permission, seller rented a truck and saved the instruments from demolition. Ever since they have been in seller’s possession and been kept in a safe storage facility. Along with the instruments, an original set of user documentation is offered for sale for 0, and copies thereof for . Each instrument is offered for ,500. Because of its weight and frangibility,  the instruments should be picked up here in New York at the Empire State Building.
