    Description

    VIETNAM CONFLICT ERA HAND CRAFTED MONTAGNARD TRIBAL WOODEN CROSSBOW
    The featured item represents a hand crafted from solid wood crossbow that measures approximately 53" long. The cross arm is about 21 1/4" long. There is a woven rope type of string and two wicker bands on each side of the arm.
    This
    piece
    was made by the
    Montagnard tribe which inhabited the highlands of South Vietnam. Such crossbows
    were used
    for hunting
    and also
    for clandestine activities during the Vietnam conflict.
    The item comes in overall good condition for its age. There is obvious wear on the wood as some
    scuffs
    , marks,scratches small chips, dents and splits. The string also shows a good amount of wear.
