For sale is an original July 17, 1997 Chicago Tribune Archives Photograph, featuring Tiger Woods. This 8 1/2" X 11" glossy photo is in flawless conition. This was taken at a practice round at Royal Troon Golf Club, in Troon, Scotland, previous to the British Open, This was Tiger's 1st appearance as a professional, at the Open Championship. On the back of this one-of-a-kind photograph is a Chicago Tribune I.D. bar code, which corresponds to that on the Certificate of Authenticity. Buyer will receive that certificate, along with a distinctive Tribune issued blue folder. Woods finished tied with Phil Mickelson, 24th in that event, which was won by Justin Leonard. Tiger Woods is perhaps the last iconic athlete with hard copy photographs from his early career. Everything, now, is electronic.
