    Description

    This is an autograph by Sydney Poitier, signed 02/19/82 on Pan Am Flight 811 from JFK New York to LAX Los Angeles.  It’s on a 7-1/4” x 10-1/2” sheet of Pan Am stationery.
    He signed it for the purser (chief flight attendant) in First Class.  She was my cousin.  She was a flight attendant on Pan Am from about 1965 until the airline stopped operations.  She acquired several autographs from celebrities, film stars, a former president, Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, and others.  I’m listing the ones I inherited.
    The paper is still white and the ink has not faded.  This autograph and others were framed and it’s been under glass for 25-30 years.  There are no tears or discoloration.
    Great piece for a Poitier fan or Pan Am memorabilia collector.
