Description
This auction is for a set of 4 vintage 7" Dessert or Bread Plate from the LOMONOSOV Russian Porcelain factory that was originally founded in 1744 under the Empress Elisabeth. The founder of the factory was LOMONOSOV that is located in St Petersburg, Russia. My mother took a large group to tourists to Russia in the early 1980's and brought these home. They have never been used along with other parts of the Porcelain ware. It is known as the "Catherine the Great" patter with a rich Cobalt blue netting design with 22K gold trim. It is also called the Tulip or Scallop pattern because the rim has a ripple pattern and not just straight. It is very delicate and stunning set that people will comment on while drinking Tea or any beverage. You can see the Factory stamp on the bottom of each piece. There may be a small colored dot here or there on the bottom, but that is from the firing of the porcelain. Look at the photos and bid with confidence. I do have another set of 4 matching plates if you are interested. The set will be bubble wrapped and mailed in a Medium Priority Box USPS.
