You can reuse your o-ring as long as it is not damaged. Silicone Lubricant is safe and easy to use. Other types of lubricants are not recommended for o-rings, because they can actually stretch and distort them. Provides a chemical barrier coating, with low volatility, good resistance to most chemicals, excellent resistance to water, and low vapor pressure.
