This auction is for a new-old-stock Ideal Equestrian carriage driving pony size blinds blinkers blinders. The item has an attached tag that reads IDEAL EQUESTRIAN. MASTER CRAFTSMEN IN SADDLERY-HARNESS. ART NO. CS-904. SIZE. PONY. We believe that this item was made within the last 5-10 years. The item appears to be mostly constructed of leather but does have what appear to be internal metal plates in the blinkers and bendable blinker stays which also have metal inserts. Both the eye blinkers and blinker stays were attracted to a magnet when tested. The blinkers both measures roughly 4 1/2” x 3 13/16” not including the cheek piece straps. The blinker stays measure roughly 11 3/4” in length. The buckles appear to be chrome plated and made of what looks like nickel. The buckles were not attracted to a magnet when tested. The chrome plating has been heavily worn away throughout the buckles. The item weighs roughly 1 lb 1.3 oz. The item has shelf wear, manufacturing imperfections, scratches, nicks, dings, scuffs, gouge-type marks, and dusty areas.
