LONG HALLOW BOWL PIPE MATCH HOLDER MADE  BY EAGLE GLASS CO. IN 1899
This Hollow Bowl Pipe Match Holder was made by Engle Glass in 1899.  This milk glass novelty has
embossed tobacco leaves on the base.
When this novelty was first made the
pipe was red and the bowl was gold, and the base painted brown.  With the current age 123 years old almost all of these items have lost their paint.
This item may be seen in the Eagle Glass Company advertisement in the1899 CHINA, GLASS & LAMPS CATALOG.  The pipe match holder is 3 1/2 inches long.  The glass is in excellent condition, but the paint from the original presentation has disappeared with wear.
