Large Antique Laboratory Ruhmkorff Spark Coil

Nice example of a fairly large early laboratory or university Ruhmkorff Spark Coil.  The old fellow is still working as seen in the photos.  Makes a really nice heavy buzz when running on 6 volts input.  I am sure the contacts could use a good cleaning and adjusting for any substantial use.  Years ago I used this coil to show my kids electrical sparks (now married and gone).  Finish is original (some crackling to finish) and displays well for its age.   I should also note that the left side of the coil as it meets the wood is separated just a bit (see first photo).  However it is quite stable and has been this way since I purchased it many years ago.  The brass name tag says:  Benj. Levi New York as seen in photo.  Measures overall 16.5" X 8" and is 8" tall to top of thumb nuts on coil ends.  The pictures tell the story better than I can.
The coil is quite heavy and I will properly pack with bubble wrap for safe shipping.  No Overseas Shipping at this time.  I am still fully employed and overseas shipping consumes too much time and can create issues.  Returns only if not as described and shown in photos.  Thanks.
