Here we have a Hornby Thomas 2015 HO/OO Red Brake Van. This item is also known in the US as a Caboose, and is where the guard/conductor rides and operates the trains brakes. This item was only available in the UK, only briefly released as part of a larger multi-pack, which has since been discontinued, along with the whole Hornby Thomas range.
This item is a version of the item Thomas & Friends line from 2015, and as a result there are a number differences from the more common versions, including no numbers on the side. The differences will be shown alongside a regular Thomas Red Brake Van, which will only be shown for reference.
Bachmann does not currently make a generic Brake Van for their Thomas range. This is a great opportunity to get a key piece of rolling stock for your Bachmann Thomas!
This item is in excellent condition, and has only just been removed from the box!
