Helmet Cover Vietnam Mitchell pattern original 1969 dated (MIT11)

This is an original as found US M-1 helmet
cover
. This the Vietnam era Mitchell pattern cover and is 1969 dated. This is the real thing and has a very nice patina and wear pattern. It has heavy wear.  There are some wear through holes where the helmet lip rubbed through.(see pictures)  The good thing is that they are very easy repairs and or you can adjust the cover where they are hidden under the liner. This has not seen the light of day in 40+ years. It is just out of long term storage. We took a couple of pictures with the cover mounted on a helmet (

) where you can see the wear and patina. The first couple of pictures are of the cover off the helmet. Don't miss a nice early original.
