ANTIQUE "HOT AIR FURNACE" PATENT MODEL THOMAS F. HEMMICH - INVENTOR WITH 3 TAGS - DATED DEC 21, 1875
This wonderful PATENT MODEL of a HOT AIR FURNACE measures 11" TALL x 7" x 7".  Patent dated Dec. 21st, 1875.
Inventor is THOMAS F. HEMMICH of Reading PA.  Although not shown, comes with a modern copy of the patent papers.
A small crank on the right side moves a geared base wheel inside to apparently allow for coal to be rotated as it is loaded or burned.   Stands 11" TALL x 7" WIDE x 7" DEEP.
PATENT NO. 171,281.
It has THREE (3) paper tags as shown.   Made of sheet copper / brass and tin with a few small hand cut steel nuts and screws.
Scratches, minor scattered surface and wear throughout

with
age and
use but overall
displays
nicely. Base skirt has a loose point in rear - which cause it to be instable, but is tight and firm and really requires no further attention unless one wants to solder it and touch it up with flat black paint.  Not a big deal, but we are mentioning it.  Tin front door of furnace is lacking.
