For consideration from a multi - generation estate is a late 1800's - early 1900's turn of the century Antique Jas. P. Marsh & Company - Chicago, Illinois USA Brass and porcelainized Black Cast Iron or Steel body most likely a steam pressure gauge from a locomotive steam engine or large hi rise building boiler room. Face measures just under 12" inches across on front and just over 12" inches in diameter on its back.Shows some marginal age wear, some surface wear as photos note. Untested with the needle arm moving freely when you pick it up and sits level at -0- when it is at its vertical upright position. Heavy weighing in at just under 12 pounds and made of cast steel or iron with a nice original brass finish to front areas circular borders encasing a thick glass front.
Measure approx. 11- 7/8" inches diameter at front and its bottom is 12 - 1/8" inches in diameter. Its depth / thickness is 4- 1/4" inches. Was made with 3 mounting or hanging holes for building engineers monitoring. Would look great displayed an any man cave or fire department memorabilia rec. room or industrial steampunk setting.
