Spectrometer
in it's original case.
The case for this
mono prism hand spectroscope
measures 5 1/4 inches and about 2 inches wide.
Longer Tube with Slit Adjustment for spectrum, &
focusing tubes Scale & Spectrum.
The spectrometer has an adjustable slit and been used for many years for the identification and verification of gemstones by observation of their absorption spectrum. In its black leather covered hinged
original
case lined with blue velvet and purple silk
and looks to be in good condition!
When looking through it you see the rainbow spectrum and the focus slide and slide gate work smoothly.
Unit does show some wear from use,
