The specifications of the set are as follows:
4 of Melt-blown Grooved Polypropylene Sediment filters
    – Sediment filter is often the first filter installed in the Reverse Osmosis circuit. Sediment filters are made of fine melted polypropylene, which is then blown and spun in a cylinder-like form. The main function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from a drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles. Removal of such particles allows for a better performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC filters.
What is a Grooved Sediment Filter?
A Grooved Sediment Water Filter removes the physical debris and impurities from your water. The sediment filter has tiny holes through which water is able to pass, however the unwanted particles are not. As these particles come in different sizes, so do the filters. The filter sizes are measured in microns, the smaller the micron measurement, the smaller the holes in the filter, allowing to hold back the smallest of bacteria. Generally, for water that is more visibly polluted, containing larger particles, a sediment filter of a larger size (such as 20 or 50 microns) is recommended in the first stage of installation to prevent the clogging of the next stage(s) of filters.
The main difference between a Grooved Sediment Filter and a regular Sediment Filter is the surface area; the Grooved Sediment has a larger surface area, which contributes to a longer life span of the filter and thus better filtration.
    Micron rating: 5 Micron.
    Dimensions: 10" x 2.5"
Lifetime: Replace two or three times a year, depending on the water quality.
Those filters are wrapped and sealed and meet NSF Standards and Regulations. Filter will fit any Residential Reverse Osmosis Unit that features standard 10” filter housing
