This is a September 23 1968 Sports Illustrated Cover, commemorating Detroit Tigers Pitcher Denny McLain's 30th win of the season.
The Tigers went on to win the World Series, and Denny went 31-6 for the year. No other pitcher has had 30 wins since.
It is signed in person by Al Kaline and Denny McLain. Signatures were obtained by me, in person at local Detroit Area appearances.

This is the complete cover, scans of front and back shown.
See scans for condition, there is old water staining on the lower part of the cover, and some age related wear. There are wrinkles and small tears. It is very used.
