    Commemorating the Spanish-American War in 1898, Uncle Sam is astride the USS Maine Naval Battleship which sunk in Havana Harbor in Feb 1898, contributing to the outbreak of war.

    Websites and eBay listings describe this as a Mustard "Bowl" / "Jar". I find very minor bird beaks on the top of the rim of the lid, and what is probably a factory stress "crack" on the interior bottom of the hull. It does not appear on the exterior bottom. Two minute nicks in the hull rim.
    It is truly in beautiful, antique condition.
