    Description

Offered here is a large at 53.5mm or about 2 1/8 inch bronze medal. Struck in 1806 commemorating the death of William Pitt. Both Pitt the father and son were much admired in colonial America and early United States as hero statesmen who advocated for freedom for all. That is why this medal was part of my anti-slavery collection. The obverse has Pitt full facing left with legend around. The reverse has an island rock pillar rising from an angry sea. A lovely medal in nearly mint condition with just minor edge issues as most large medals. See the scans. U.S. shipping is free. Pay pal, or your check.
This was once part of my anti slavery collection as Pitt was a proponent of ending that horrible business and lectured often against it.
I am always open to offers on any of my listings. Just ask. Worst thing is I say no.
