    Description

1788 New Jersey, Nova Caesarea, post colonial copper. The obverse with the plow and the horse head has a reddish toning, but shows up in the photos to be more red than it looks in hand. There are some small areas of porosity on the lower half to the left and right. A small area is also visible at the top center near the edge. The reverse is more of a medium to dark brown color with a little fine texture on the surfaces and a small area of porosity near the lower edge. The left center area of the shield is a brighter copper color. This coin was last sold by Superior Galleries, May 2004 Sale, Lot # 20, Graded VF 25.
