    Description

    Obverse is glossy light to medium chocolate browns, darker in the protected areas, while the reverse is medium to dark brown with some ebony areas of fine granularity in the protected areas. Die breaks seen through the legends on the obverse, with some minor planchet flaws and striations through the neck and hair, as well as a light scuff on the rim over TOR of AUCTORI, and a nick at the end of it. The reverse shows more die breaks through the fields above the right hand, and from the date up through ETLIB, with some light hairlines across the face, chest, and feet. Bold date and legends, with XF+ sharpness on this beautiful and interesting example of this rare variety.
